Wings! Live at FliteZone Theater!

The National Aviary's spectacular new bird show WINGS! takes flight daily in the new Helen M. Schmidt FliteZone Theater. You won't want to miss this one-of-a-kind theatrical experience. In this live avian adventure, vultures, owls, macaws, eagles and more fly over and amidst the audience, against a moving backdrop of video, music and lighting.

If you are a member, visit us on October 6, 7 and 8, and catch the dress rehearsals of our new free-flight bird show, Wings! Seating is limited, arrive early.

Grand Opening of Wings! Visit us on October 9th to catch the action at the NEW Helen M. Schmidt FliteZone Theater. Wings! will show at 11 am and 1:30 pm. Seating is first-come, first-served, or buy a reserved VIP seat for $3 each.

Penguin Connection

Have you ever wanted to get up close with an African penguin? Well now you can with the National Aviary's newly redesigned Penguin Connection. Guests will have an opportunity to mingle with one of the Aviary's most recognizable birds in this interactive experience. Flamingo Connection

Join our flock of flamingos in the Wetlands of the Americas exhibit. This one-of-a-kind experience will allow guests the opportunity of being surrounded by frolicking flamingos while learning more about these intriguing birds. Owl Connection

Whoooo wouldn't want to delve inside the mind of an owl? You can do so during our new and exciting Owl Connection, where one of the Aviary's most magical and mysterious residents will join guests as they discover what makes owls such amazing hunters. Parrot Painting

We all have pictures at home, but how many people can say they have one painted by one of the National Aviary's blue-fronted Amazons? Well now you can!
