The National Aviary’s TreeTops Presented by Peoples is an indoor habitat featuring two beautiful bird species. Today, this stunning space is blooming with lush, green trees and plants that thrive in the natural sunlight provided by the bird-safe glass windows.

Watch as Toco Toucans use their impressive, lightweight bills to feed on a variety of fruits and insects. Try and spot two Vietnam Pheasants foraging amongst the brush, which have not been seen in the wild in since 2000.

The Importance of Saving Forests!

Forests cover nearly one-third of the Earth’s land surface. They are a key source of food, shelter, water, and protection for all – both wildlife and humans – that rely on them. Despite their critical importance to life on Earth, they are facing determine habitat loss due to largely human-caused challenges. However, YOU can help protect them, thanks to tips and tricks from the National Aviary Green Team.
