Witness powerful birds of prey in flight on SkyDeck, the National Aviary’s rooftop theater! Experience the thrill of majestic birds, like a Bald Eagle and Eurasian Eagle-Owl, demonstrating their incredible “superpowers,” or adaptations during Habitat Heroes Presented by AAA Travel.

Waddle to Penguin Point to view a Penguin Feeding. Learn about their outstanding superpowers like waterproof feathers, bodies built for diving deep into the see, and wings that propel them through the water! Visit the Tropical Rainforest, to see their remarkable adaptations—birds’ superpowers!—up close and learn about each fascinating species from an Aviary expert. Venture to the beautifully renovated Wetlands at mealtime to meet a league of amazing avian species.

Show-stopping plumage isn’t the only incredible thing about Rainbow Lorikeets: these small parrots are incredibly intelligent! Enter their habitat and hold out a cup of sweet nectar in your hands – these inquisitive birds will land gently on your arms. Feed the colony at Penguin Point fresh, sustainability-sourced fish!

Some daily activities are included with admission, others require an additional ticket. All tickets are available for purchase at aviary.org and our Visitor Services Desk.
