Join accomplished Aviary Educator and Photographer, Mike Faix (who took this STUNNING image of our Victoria Crowned Pigeon in her chick a few years ago), on a deep dive into the art of capturing stunning portraits and dynamic action shots amidst our breathtaking habitats. Still searching for the perfect gift for your animal-loving teen? Look no further! The National Aviary is offering a four-week Teen Job Shadow Program beginning Sat., January 25, where your child can learn from experts about animal care and conservation. A family looking an African Penguin during a Jr. Penguin Encounter

Whether it’s meeting a majestic falcon, getting up close with a wise owl, feeding nutritious treats to a slow-moving sloth, or sharing a special moment with an adorable penguin, National Aviary Animal Encounters offer the perfect way to make memories that will last a lifetime. It’s the ultimate gift for animal fanatics and adventure seekers alike. Proceeds from Animal Encounters support the National Aviary’s work to save birds and protect their habitats.

Holiday shoppers can’t go wrong with this Aviary-exclusive gift: Symbolically adopt one of several beloved National Aviary birds, including fan-favorite Aurora the Steller’s Sea Eagle or a Eurasian Eagle-Owl, on behalf of a passionate animal devote. Symbolic adoptions come with a personalized letter, a unique photo, a fact sheet, and more. All proceeds from adoptions support the National Aviary’s animal care efforts.

Looking for a truly meaningful gift? Honor the memory of a loved one or preserve a special moment by having a name or message engraved in a Condor Court Paver. Home to the only two Andean Condors hatched in North American zoos in 2022, you can etch your legacy at the National Aviary while giving a gift that will proudly be displayed on our pathway for years to come.
